Plans for campsite in Glossop set to be approved

Planners are poised to give the final seal of approval to a campsite on Glossop's Cemetery Road.

High Peak Development Control Committee approved an application for 20 tent pitches, a toilet and shower block, plus a car park, back in January.

The plan then was to put the block next to the car park.

The applicants, Mr and Mrs Crook, are now going back to the committee asking if the block can be in the camping field.

They feel it will be more convenient for families, especially those with small children and people with disabilities.

The application will be heard at Tuesday's development control committee meeting.
