A move to give Tintwistle a third defibrillator is being made by the parish council.
There are the familiar ‘heart start’ machines outside Tintwistle Conservative Club on New Road and Tintwistle Athletic Football Club at the bottom of West Drive.
One could now be going up at the top of Old Road due to a lack of a defibrillator at the eastern end of the village.
To redress the balance, Cllr Tony Owens is working on raising funds and finding a location for one on the ‘upper part’ of Old Road.
