Charlesworth Parish Council has revealed its new logo after holding a competition last year.
Councillors had invited villagers to design a logo depicting Charlesworth to go on the council’s correspondence, online pages and general information boards to boost its profile.
The winner was announced on Monday as former Charlesworth resident Richard Lee, who now lives in South Wales.
Richard heard about the competition from a friend, who still lives in the village, and wanted to contribute something to a place he grew up in, is still very fond of and visits regularly.
The council said in a statement: "Our two 'runners-up' from Charlesworth School have been informed and presented with prizes from the Parish to say thank you. A big thank you to everyone who submitted a design. We have some very artistic people around!"
