Man gets taken to hospital following M60 crash

A section of the M60 motorway is closed due to an incident which occurred earlier this morning.

Between Stockport and Bredbury (Junction 27 and Junction 24), at 5:45am, a car crashed into a near side barrier and ended up being flipped onto its roof. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance for around 40 minutes as well as North West Motorway Police who are still at the scene.

NWMP are currently carrying out collison and investigation work. Once this is completed, recovery and collision clear-up work can begin.

Firefighters extricated a man from the car and the driver has now been taken to hospital following the incident.
