Man charged with four thefts from shops in Glossop

A man has been charged in connection with a number of thefts from shops in Glossop.

Police received reports of items stolen from Aldi in Arundel Street on March 9 and April 5, and from Lidl in Mill Street and B&M Bargains in Norfolk Street on April 15.

Gavin Taylor was arrested on April 15, and subsequently charged with four counts of theft.

The 43-year-old, of Pendragon Place, Failsworth, has been bailed and is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on May 16.
