Park Road in Hadfield is closed for up to a month to allow repairs to the railway bridge and the diversion of a HV cable.
The road is closed between the junction with Marlow Street and junction with Bankswood Road from today (Monday) until 10 February.
The alternative route is Park Road, Hadfield Road, Church Street, Newshaw Lane, Shaw Lane, Brookfield, Dinting Vale, High Street West, Norfolk Street, Woodhead Road, Cemetery Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road which will be re-opened fully as soon as the work is finished.
Derbyshire County Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.
