Join Padfield Community Spaces for a unique twist on the traditional music quiz, at their ‘Music from the Movies’ event on Thursday 16th April at 7pm at Padfield Congregational Chapel (SK13 1EX).
Local quartet ‘Occasional Sax’ will play each tune live and participants must guess the movie soundtrack each piece is from.
Tickets are just £5 and include a pie supper with tea and coffee. Guests are also invited to bring their own drinks and to be ready to have lots of fun in the name of a good cause.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Padfield Community Spaces and their aim to maintain a ‘green heart’ at the centre of Padfield. Since officially becoming owners of Temple Street Field in December 2025, they have been working hard to begin its transformation into a brand new community garden.
Local residents, volunteers and school children have all been involved in recent months. Developments include the installation of a new boundary and disabled access gates, the creation of a nature habitat pile, and the planting of new trees and bulbs across the site. Future plans include planting an orchard and creating an accessible path through the site.
Chairperson of PCS, Pete Tomlin says: “We have been blown away by the passion and enthusiasm our local community has demonstrated in supporting this project. We are really looking forward to having a fun night with everyone - without getting muddy! - to celebrate all their hard work and to raise money for what’s to come.”
Tickets can be purchased from The Peels Arms, Padfield Chapel and Tuesday Club, D&D Newsagents in Hadfield and on the door.
