The Commercial Inn in Glossop took the honours in the first Inter Pub Bowling Competition held on Saturday (9 July).
Manor Park Bowling Club hosted the event which saw friendly rivalry as teams from The Commercial Inn and The Wheatsheaf battled it out.
Saturday provided perfect weather for the busy afternoon that saw both greens in the park being used by over 40 competitors, supporters, spectators, and markers.
The bowling club and greens are there for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community, and both the pubs share these same values.
The Commercial won on the day and took the trophy. The Bowling Club are now discussing how they can make this a regular event and are looking to get more local pubs involved.
