Join in the big litter pick

Volunteers will be hitting the streets of Glossop again on Saturday for the latest ‘Big Pick’.

The community group, set up by residents wanting to clean up the town, is meeting at The Bureau on Henry Street at 10am.

Co-ordinator Cath Cundy said: “Last month’s event was well attended. Anyone who can spare an hour and who is interested in joining the Saturday’s event should meet at The Bureau.”

Litter pickers and bags for the rubbish will be supplied.

The areas to be tackled will be announced on Saturday.

Cath added: “We would also like to thank Justin at Glossop B&M’s store for their kind donation of refuse bags, gloves and other items to assist our group. It is very much appreciated.”

Refreshments will be served at The Bureau after the ‘Big Pick’.

The group’s regular clean-ups are supported by local councillors and The Bureau.
