Hummingbird Project Aims to Bring Christmas Cheer to Thousands of Local Children and Families

Over the last three years, The Hummingbird Project has made a heart warming impact on the Glossop community, gifting over 13,000 Christmas presents to children, families, and the elderly.

Over the last three years, The Hummingbird Project has made a heart warming impact on the Glossop community, gifting over 13,000 Christmas presents to children, families, and the elderly. The Toy Appeal is now gearing up for its biggest challenge yet as it faces an unprecedented demand for support.

This year, the Project is aiming to collect 7,000 toys and gifts for local children and families in need. The rising cost of living and financial pressures mean more families than ever are reaching out for help, with many already seeking assistance as Christmas approaches.

How It Works

Donations collected by The Hummingbird Project are distributed to families through partnerships with local social services, children’s services, charities, schools, and individual referrals. These gifts make a world of difference to those struggling during the festive season, ensuring that every child experiences the magic of Christmas.

How You Can Help

The Project is calling on the community to donate items such as:

  • Toys
  • Books
  • Puzzles and jigsaws
  • Biscuits and chocolates
  • Gifts for all ages

Every contribution counts and will go directly to a family in need. Donations can be arranged by contacting the Project via email at hummingbirdhubs@gmail.com.

Let’s come together as a community and support this project to ensure that no child or family goes without a gift this Christmas.
