This Saturday (6 August) will be the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
Members and supporters of Glossop Peace Group will be holding a vigil in Norfolk Square in Glossop town centre from 12.15pm, in memory of all victims of war.
They will also be calling for the UK to join the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
A spokesperson for the group said: "Nuclear War is more likely now than at any time since the Cuban Missile crisis, and nuclear disarmament has never been more urgent".
