Glossop bonfire returns to light up Manor Park

Glossop Round Table are delighted to announce that the much-loved Glossop Bonfire is back for 2025 - taking place on Saturday 8th November in Manor Park.

Recognised as the biggest bonfire south of Manchester, this year’s event promises an unforgettable night of fireworks, family fun, and fiery entertainment. Around £9,500 worth of fireworks will be set off in two separate displays, ensuring there’s something spectacular for everyone to enjoy.

Gates open at 4pm, with the first fireworks display at 5:45pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire. The main display will begin at 7:15pm, bringing the park alive with colour and sound.

This year, the evening will celebrate the traditional spirit of Bonfire Night — described as “a fiery tribute to Bonfire Night”. The Centre Stage Dance School will perform a special Guy Fawkes–inspired show, while the event will also feature stilt walkers, stunt fire-breathers, Tintwistle Band, and Limelight Theatre.

Families can look forward to a visual children’s fireworks display, a spectacular adults’ show, and plenty of funfair rides for younger visitors.

A wide range of local food and drink vendors will be serving up delicious treats, and the ever-popular Round Table bar will be open, fully stocked with drinks including local favourites from Buxton Brewery.

Ticket prices are frozen at last year’s rates:

  • Family (2 adults + 2 children aged 3–16): £25 + booking fee
  • Adult: £10 + booking fee
  • Concession: £5 + booking fee

Tickets are available now at: www.ticketsource.co.uk/glossop-roundtable

Advance early bird tickets are cheaper than buying on the gate, so be sure to book ahead!

All profits from the Glossop Bonfire go straight back into the local community. Last year, Glossop Round Table donated an incredible £20,000 to good causes. Recent contributions include £8,000 to Bradbury House for new windows, support for the local foodbank, warm spaces, and local sports clubs and schools — including £1,000 to Hadfield Infant School for a new jungle gym.

By coming along, you’re not just enjoying a great night out - you’re helping support projects and people across Glossopdale.

Help Glossop Round Table continue their fantastic work - come along, bring your family, and be part of this spectacular community celebration!

The Glossop Chronicle will soon be running a competition to win tickets - don’t miss it!
