Families are being invited to get creative as Glossop Rotary Club hosts a Lego Exhibition and Competition next month.
The event will take place on Saturday 7th February, from 10:30am to 4:30pm, at Bradbury Community House on Market Street, Glossop.
Visitors can enjoy a colourful exhibition of Lego creations, take part in a special “Build a Lego World Cup” competition, and browse stalls selling Lego sets, individual bricks and accessories.
The competition is open to three age groups: 5-7yrs, 8-11yrs, and 12 to 16yrs - encouraging young builders to put their imagination and construction skills to the test.
Admission costs £4 for adults and £1 for children under 15, with all proceeds going to St Francis House and Rotary’s ‘End Polio Now’ campaign, which supports the global effort to eradicate polio.
Glossop Rotary Club is part of a worldwide voluntary organisation of more than one million members, united by the motto “Service Above Self”. Locally, the club raises funds and supports projects throughout the year, including environmental garden projects in primary schools, youth competitions, and fundraising events such as the popular annual Glossop Jog.
Money raised by Rotary also supports international causes, from providing clean drinking water in Africa and funding cataract operations in India, to supplying emergency shelter boxes for communities affected by natural disasters.
