Glossop Fire Station say that wildlife has sadly been affected by last nights fire.
Flames rose on the hills above Tintwistle at Holybank Quarry at just after 10pm last night [22 April].
Glossop Fire station say this is the fourth fire at this location in the last three weeks.
The latest fire caused many people to ask if patrols can be increased in the area to combat these fires starting. It’s not yet been revealed what caused this one to start.
On their Twitter they posted images, including a distressing one of the charred remains of bird eggs.
