Four young adults have been fined for breaking Covid regulations, after travelling from Greater Manchester to Chapel-en-le-Frith to stay overnight for "no exceptional reason".
Police issued the fines to the group for breaching the current lockdown rules and ordered them to go home.
Buxton Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "An officer from Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Team has issued four fines to individuals whom have breached the Covid regulations tonight in the Chapel area.
"Four young adults had travelled from the Greater Manchester area to stay over for a night when there was no exceptional reason for them doing so.
"Tickets issued and told to head back to their local area."
