Looking a picture of health as she celebrates her third birthday on Thursday (24 September) is Lilly Siddall from Hadfield.
Proud parents Cllr Edward Siddall and wife Suzanne say they will always be grateful to Tameside Hospital for the care their daughter received when she was born prematurely.
Edward says: “I would like to thank Tameside Hospital’s maternity staff and the staff on the NICU Ward for keeping her alive and well when she was born three years ago.
“Lilly was born prematurely at 34 weeks and was very ill when she was born, she had a collapsed lung at two days old and needed an operation to sort it out.
“The staff on these units are heroes and I would like to thank them for their care and dedication.”

Lilly faced a battle for life when she was born.
