The Tintwistle Show took place last week where there was an array of stalls, entertainment and refreshments, including afternoon tea.
The show with the theme of 'Bees and Flowers' was opened by Mike Mulhall, the headteacher of Tintwistle CE Primary, with an inspiring speech that focussed on encouraging everyone to play their part in preserving the biodiversity of our countryside.
There were 58 exhibitors and over 250 exhibits. 8 different trophies were awarded. There were 30 volunteers helping on the day - erecting marquees, refreshments, Judges' Runners, running the raffle and the auction of exhibits.
Tintwistle Band supported by some members of the Arnfield Brass and Marple bands provided the music.
The summer weather helped to make it an enjoyable day for everyone.
