Chicks hatch for Easter at Hadfield residential home

There were nine new arrivals at Hadfield's Willow Bank Residential Home on Easter Sunday and they were all given the warmest of welcomes.

The fluffy chicks pecked out of their shells and it wasn't too long before they were in the arms of the residents.

Sarah White, who manages the Albert Street home, said: "The residents have had a wonderful time watching them hatch over the bank holiday weekend."

The signs are the Easter chicks will be around for a long time.

Sarah added: "We plan on keeping and raising them."
