A car wash has helped raise hundreds of pounds for a local charity.
Staff from Reuben's Retreat and firefighters from Glossop Fire Station’s Blue Watch brought their sponges and buckets to the charity’s HQ in Glossop on Monday (8 May) to help clean members of the public’s vehicles for a suggested donation of £10.
In just four hours, a fantastic £530 was raised, which will help Reuben’s Retreat to continue its work with complexly poorly children and families of child loss.
The event was part of The Big Help Out - a national volunteering initiative as part of the celebrations to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III.
