Breaking Business News: Date change announced for Glossop & High Peak Business Awards

The Glossop & High Peak Business Awards 2026 will now take place on Monday 9th February 2026, having originally been scheduled for Wednesday 11th February.

The prestigious event will take place at the newly refurbished Glossop Market Hall: Open Now | Glossop Market Hall

Speaking about the date change, Not Really Here Media CEO Emma Marsh said:

“The move will significantly enhance the scale and experience of the awards, as it allows exclusive use of the entire venue rather than being limited to a single function room.

The change marks an important step in the evolution of the awards, which will now fully reflect their identity as a Glossop & High Peak wide celebration of business”

The Business Awards recognise organisations, entrepreneurs and employers from across the whole area.

By expanding the footprint of the event, the 2026 awards will accommodate a larger audience, increased production, and greater visibility for finalists and winners.  Emma adds “We believe this will further strengthen the awards’ reputation as one of the most significant business events in the local calendar”.

The Glossop & High Peak Business Awards celebrate excellence across a broad range of sectors, including independent retail, manufacturing, professional services, hospitality, health and wellbeing, sustainability, community impact and high-growth enterprise.

Entries for the 2026 awards are now open, with businesses of all sizes encouraged to put themselves forward. With the increased scale of the event, judges have indicated that competition for finalist places is expected to be particularly strong.

The awards will take place on Monday 9th February 2026.
