A local opticians has unveiled a £70,000 refurbishment, providing a whole new look designed to enhance the overall customer experience.
After 9 years serving the Glossop community, the local Specsavers store has received a much-needed makeover providing a sleeker and more modern feel, as well as an improved layout and illuminated displays.
Customers will be greeted with new LED units to display the frames on offer, and the shop floor and test rooms have all been redecorated for a fresh new look. Touch-illuminated mirrors have also been installed, as well as a slick new digital screen on the shop floor to display live appointment availability, offers, optics and hear care services, and more.
To celebrate the official reopening of the store, Deggy, the popular local mural and spray paint artist, attended the opening for an exciting meet and greet with customers, and there was also a balloon arch to mark the occasion.
Nawaz Moin, retail director at Specsavers Glossop, says: ‘We have been delivering specialist eyecare in the local community since 2016. We have and always will be fully committed to continuously improving the standard of eyecare and hear care services we provide, and we’re delighted to see the final transformation of our store.
‘Our most recent refurbishment will only help improve our customer experience and our team looks forward to welcoming the community back into store.’
Deggy, local mural artist, added: ‘It was a pleasure to be a part of the re-opening of the store as the Specsavers Glossop team do a lot to get involved with the local community, which is something I care a lot about too. Being a customer myself, they've also just sorted me out with a smashing new pair of glasses, which means I can hopefully see what I'm painting much better!’
Ensuring customers are given the most advanced service possible, the store already has an advanced OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) machine which helps optometrists view the health of customer’s eyes in greater detail. The hospital-grade technology can also help detect treatable eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration sooner.
