National Highways are continuing to carry out essential utility diversion work on Mottram Moor as part of the ongoing scheme.
They are installing low-pressure gas mains across Mottram Moor over four consecutive weekends. Electricity diversion works will also be carried out in the same area.
Traffic Management will need to be in place continuously for a full 48 hour period from 6am Saturday morning until 6am Monday morning on the following weekends:
- Saturday 4 - Monday 6 October
- Saturday 11 - Monday 13 October
- Saturday 18 - Monday 20 October
To do this safely, all traffic will be reduced to a single lane on both the east and west bound of Mottram Moor.
To reduce impact on residents, construction activity will only take place during the day, however traffic management will be in place for the full 48 hours for safety reasons.
National Highways say that during the day, there may be some noise from the construction activities, but they are doing all they can to keep impact to a minimum.
