Put your detective skills to the test to help solve 'whodunnit'
An Agatha Christie-style interactive murder mystery comes to Hyde Festival Theatre’s Madge Bayes Hall this Friday and Saturday to raise funds for Hyde Musical Society.
Run entirely by volunteers, the society’s shows are self-funded, meaning they rely on the generous support of patrons and audience members, and can cost in excess of £20,000 to stage.
The society’s latest fundraising event, ‘Hold My Scream’, is a 'whodunnit' and takes place at the Madge Bayes Hall at Hyde Festival Theatre tomorrow evening with a repeat performance on Saturday.
The murder mystery is set in 1930s England, and promises to be an absorbing, immersive whodunnit for audiences, who will be able to enjoy the production, as well as then question the suspects themselves.
Two very different worlds are poised to collide as emotions boil over in the Bennett household, while the wheels look to be coming off rail financier Jack Whitworth’s business.
As the tensions mount and secrets unravel, it all comes crashing together in one explosive scene which ends in... murder! But whodunnit?
Put on your detective caps and help the police officers solve the crime - and if you get it right, you could even win a prize!
You'll also be helping the society raise vital funds for next year's musical production.
Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets for the highly entertaining evening can be booked at www.sparksem.co.uk
All funds raised will go toward Hyde Musical Society’s annual musical next April, which will be Monty Python’s Spamalot.
