BREAKING NEWS: Two dead after Snake Pass motorbike crash

Two motorcyclists have died after a fatal crash on the notorious A57 Snake Pass on Sunday afternoon.

The men, one in his 50s and the other in his 60s, were killed after their red Ducatis collided in Holden Clough on the Glossop side of the summit at around 1:10pm.

Both were seriously injured in the accident and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two air ambulances scrambled to the area, which closed a 13-mile stretch of the route between Glossop and Ladybower Reservoir.

Derbyshire Police have appealed for dashcam footage from any passing motorists.

“We are keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage of the collision, or footage showing the riders in the moments leading up to the collision,” a statement from the force said.

“If you can help with our investigation, contact us using any of the below methods, quoting the reference 24000477836:
