Tram track works to halt services at Piccadilly Gardens for two months

The planned works in Piccadilly Gardens will cause some disruption to the Metrolink network.

The disruption will last from the 3rd of June until the end of service on the 10th of August, while Bee Network replace older sections of the tram tracks between Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly Station.

No tram services will be able to run via Piccadilly Gardens for over two months.

Tram services will run as follows:

  • Trams on the Altrincham/Bury lines wont serve Piccadilly Gardens or Piccadilly. Services will run between Altrincham and Bury via Market Street.
  • All trams from Ashton and Etihad Campus will terminate at Piccadilly.
  • Eccles services (via MediaCityUK) will run to Victoria via Market Street.
  • MediaCityUK - Etihad Campus peak time services will NOT run during these works. There will be extra double trams on the Eccles - Victoria via MediaCityUK service.

Bee Network will have a signposted walking route and a replacement bus service running outside the usual free bus operating times to make it as easy as possible to get between Market Street, Piccadilly Gardens and the Piccadilly Station stops.

Normal tram services will resume on Monday 11th August.
