Each year, local charity Action Together leads the much-loved Tameside Toy Appeal, and for 2025, it’s back to spread Christmas cheer and support families in need across the borough.
For many households in Tameside, this festive season will be tougher than ever. The heart-breaking choice between “heating or eating” is a reality for too many, leaving the thought of presents under the tree feeling completely out of reach.
That’s where the Toy Appeal comes in. By donating to the Tameside Toy Appeal 2025, residents can make sure that local children living in poverty wake up to something special on Christmas morning.
“Every toy, every gift, every act of kindness makes a real difference,” said Action Together. “Together, we can bring hope, joy and a little Christmas magic to families who need it most.”
Santa’s sleigh is officially back on the road, and he’s calling on Tameside’s very own Christmas elves to help! The charity is asking the community to donate new toys and gifts for children aged 0 to 18, ensuring no child is left without a reason to smile this Christmas.
Whether it’s a cuddly teddy for a toddler, a creative craft kit for a young child, or a thoughtful gift for a teenager, every donation counts.
