A new Ashton-under-Lyne estate agency, Thompson Estates, has made a vibrant entrance into the community by running an imaginative art competition for schoolchildren across Tameside.
The challenge, open to pupils of all ages, invited students to design their “dream home” - no limits, no rules, just pure creativity. With one student entering a spectacular “space house” where each planet became a different room, entries showcased the remarkable imagination of Tameside’s young artists.
The competition closed on 27th September and saw an impressive range of submissions from schools throughout the borough.
The winning entry earned £200 for the student’s school to spend on classroom supplies and £50 for the winning pupil, who will also enjoy the honour of having their artwork proudly displayed in the window of Thompson Estates’ new Ashton-under-Lyne office when the team moves in.
Thompson Estates aim was to support creativity in Tameside schools with the design your dream home initiative.
