Firefighters spent five and a half hours tackling a house fire in Denton at the weekend, with the aftermath pictured below.

One person was evacuated from the semi-detached property on Wordsworth Road just before midnight on Saturday, April 27, according to GMP.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said it used a nine metre ladder and two hose reels to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
