Communities across Tameside will once again come together to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the two world wars and in conflicts since.
Remembrance services and wreath-laying ceremonies will be held across the borough over the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November, with further commemorations on Tuesday 11 November, the anniversary of Armistice Day. Residents are warmly invited to attend, pay their respects, and reflect on the courage of those who fought for our freedom.
Councils, churches, community groups, and veterans’ organisations will unite in a series of parades, church services, and moments of silence to mark this solemn occasion.
