The high street health and beauty retailer fell into administration earlier this month.

Some Bodycare stores have already closed their doors, however the brand has said 32 of its 150 UK stores will shut permanently.

Among the 32 set for closure are the Hyde and Ashton-under-Lyne stores.

Around 450 employees will be made redundant, and the future of the 1,000 remaining staff is currently uncertain.

The Hyde branch, located in Clarendon Square Shopping Centre will close on Thursday 18th September. The Ashton-under-Lyne store will follow closing on Monday 22nd September.

Nick Holloway, managing director at Interpath and joint administrator, expressed gratitude on Monday: "We'd like to express our sincere thanks to the hundreds of dedicated Bodycare staff who have shown such professionalism since our appointment."

He added: “We will continue to trade the remaining 85 stores while we remain in discussions with interested parties with the aim of preserving as much of the business as possible.”
