Mums from across Mossley were treated to a heart-warming evening of coffee, cake and creativity as girls from the 2nd Mossley Rainbows and Brownies units hosted a special Mother’s Day celebration.
The event, designed and organised by the young members, saw the girls take on the role of hosts as they served drinks and a tempting selection of homemade cakes to their guests. The relaxed gathering provided a chance for families to spend quality time together while enjoying a range of fun activities.
One of the highlights of the evening was a hands-on craft session where the girls helped their mums create mini “bonfire biscuit” treats. Laughter and smiles filled the room as families worked together on the tasty creations before stopping to capture the moment at a colourful Mother’s Day photo booth.
To round off the celebration, the Rainbows and Brownies proudly shared the handmade gifts and cards they had prepared during their meetings. Mums were also invited to take part in the units’ closing ceremony, offering a glimpse into the traditions and friendships that make guiding so special.
