Planning is officially underway for the return of one of Tameside’s most popular community celebrations, with Bridge Fest set to take place on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
Following the continued success of previous festivals, volunteers from the Stalybridge Town Team have already begun meeting to shape plans for next year’s event. Early discussions are focusing on securing performers, confirming venues, coordinating logistics and building on the strong community response seen in recent years.
Bridge Fest has firmly established itself as a key date in Stalybridge’s annual events calendar, drawing thousands of residents and visitors into the town centre for a full day of live music, entertainment and community activity. The festival’s vibrant atmosphere and diverse programme have helped cement its reputation as a highlight of the local cultural calendar.
Traditionally, performances take place across multiple venues throughout the town. Outdoor spaces such as Armentieres Square provide a central hub for activity, while local pubs, bars and hospitality venues host a range of live acts, creating a festival feel that stretches across the town centre.
Beyond the entertainment, Bridge Fest delivers a significant boost to Stalybridge’s cultural offer and local economy. The influx of visitors supports independent businesses, hospitality venues and retailers, while also providing valuable opportunities for musicians, artists and community groups to showcase their talents.
Organisers are keen to engage with partner agencies, local organisations and businesses early in the planning process to ensure the 2026 event continues to grow in both scale and impact. By strengthening partnerships and widening involvement, the Stalybridge Town Team hopes to build on the festival’s success and further enhance its community focus.
Further details regarding programming, partnership opportunities and volunteer involvement will be announced in due course.
