St Thomas the Apostle Church in Hyde is preparing to welcome the community to its annual Christmas Fair, taking place on Saturday 6th December from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the church on Lumn Road, Hyde, SK14 2RP.
This much-loved festive event will feature a wide variety of stalls, including handmade crafts, Christmas cards, and delicious cakes. Visitors can also enjoy tea, coffee, and cake, try their luck at the tombola, take part in children’s games, and enter the ever-popular raffle. A special attraction this year is a Polar Express model train, sure to delight both children and adults.
And adding to the seasonal magic, there are whispers that Santa himself may make an appearance during the fair.
The Christmas Fair is more than just a festive celebration; it forms part of a vital fundraising effort. The church is currently raising money to install a permanent disabled access ramp, a much-needed improvement that will ensure all members of the community can enter the church safely and comfortably.
