This June, men’s mental health in Tameside takes a massive leap forward. On Monday 23rd June 2025, Andy’s Man Club launches its third club in the region, hosted at Stalybridge Celtic Football Club—a move that promises real, lasting change for local men and families across the borough.
The conversation starts even earlier than the opening of the new club.
On Sunday 22nd June, Andy’s Man Club will make its mark at the renowned Stalybridge Carnival, offering men a chance to speak directly with facilitators from across the borough, learn more about the movement, and enjoy a hot brew at the launch of the all-new Coffee Cave—a warm, welcoming space run entirely by the legendary AMC WAGS (Wives, Affiliates, and Girlfriends of ANDYSMANCLUB). These women, known for their fierce support and community presence, most recently captured hearts (and nearly the trophy) as runners-up in the Haughton Green Village Fête Tug of War.
This back-to-back weekend of action is more than symbolic—it’s strategic. With Tameside’s male suicide rates remaining among the highest in Greater Manchester, according to NHS data, the need for accessible, stigma-free mental health support has never been more urgent.
Oggiethevikingbiker, Lead Facilitator and visionary of the Tameside expansion, has a clear mission: “By the end of 2026, we will have a club within reach of every man in the borough. We are making that vision a reality—one club, one conversation at a time.”
The new partnership with Stalybridge Celtic FC follows the successful community integrations at Ashton United FC and the Irwell Valley Homes Community Centre in Haughton Green, reinforcing a proven model: Local clubs are the heartbeat of their communities and the perfect launchpads for change.
Andy’s Man Club exists to give men a place to talk, every Monday at 7pm, free of charge, with no pressure, no judgment—just a brew and a chance to be heard. With the Stalybridge location, the message is loud and clear: You’re not alone, and help is right here.
