Three primary schools in Tameside have begun working in partnership with the Stamford Park Trust as they move towards formally joining the multi-academy trust.
Broadbent Fold Primary School, Audenshaw Primary School and Livingstone Primary School are now collaborating with the Trust while formal approval processes with the Department for Education continue.
Although the schools have not yet officially joined the Trust, partnership working and collaboration between staff has already begun.
The Stamford Park Trust currently includes Ashton Sixth Form College, Rayner Stephens High School, Longdendale High School and Fairfield High School for Girls.
The move to work with primary schools reflects the Trust’s ambition to strengthen education provision across Tameside and create a more connected pathway for children throughout their school years.
By expanding to include strong primary provision, the Trust aims to develop a fully integrated cross-phase education offer. This would provide a clear route for pupils from primary school through to secondary education and post-16 study, while also helping schools share expertise and improve transitions between phases.
Anton, Chief Executive Officer of Stamford Park Trust, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with colleagues at Broadbent Fold Primary School, Livingstone Primary School, and Audenshaw Primary School. Working together creates valuable opportunities to enhance teaching and learning, including smoother transitions from primary to secondary education, better-aligned curricula, and enriching experiences for a wider and more diverse range of students across Tameside.
“This collaboration reinforces our commitment to excellence and ambition for every student, ensuring a clear and supportive journey from early years through to post-16 education. We are proud to welcome the staff, students, parents and carers of these schools into our Trust family.”
During the current partnership phase there will be no immediate changes to the day-to-day running of the schools.
Stamford Park Trust says it looks forward to formally welcoming the schools in the future and continuing to work together to deliver high-quality education for children and young people across the borough.
