Police in Tameside are investigating a spike in vehicle crime in the borough - including thefts such as tools from vans parked overnight.
And despite the increase, officers still believe the crimes are being under reported.
A spokesman said: "We urge anyone who's vehicle has been broken into or even an attempt of theft from/of motor vehicle to contact the police to report this.
"The more information we have about this issue, the more action we can take to disrupt it."
You can contact police on 101 (999 if the suspect is in action or you feel in danger) or online via the Greater Manchester Police website.
