The Anthony Seddon Fund has extended its deadline for people to nominate friends, colleagues, and teachers for its Mental Health Community Awards.
The deadline has been pushed back to noon on Monday (7th July), with members of the public encouraged to nominate members of the community who have gone above and beyond to support positive mental health and wellbeing.
The Anthony Seddon Fund is a mental health charity and support service based in Tameside. The charity provides local peer support through the Anthony Seddon Centre on George Street, and was established in memory of Anthony Seddon, who passed away in 2013 following a long battle with bipolar disorder.
The award categories are split into 'Education Staff Member', 'Workplace Colleague', and 'Member of the Public'. Nominations are open for people who have:
- Helped reduce stigma around mental health
- Raised money for mental health charities
- Made an individual impact on someone’s life
- Raised awareness of positive mental health and wellbeing strategies in an education setting/workplace
- Gone above and beyond to raise awareness of positive mental health and wellbeing
Winners are set to be notified and invited to the Fund's 2025 Open Day on Saturday 12th July between 11pm and 3pm. Nominations can be made here.
