A brand-new coding course for young tech enthusiasts has launched at The Together Centre in Dukinfield, offering children aged 8 to 14 the chance to dive into the exciting world of coding and robotics.
The first session of Together We Code took place on Monday 4th August, with eight children attending to learn the basics of coding in a fun and supportive environment. The young participants explored fundamental coding concepts, worked together on simple projects, and began developing the problem-solving skills that coding encourages.
The course is designed to be accessible to all, with no previous experience required. Sessions are hands-on and interactive, allowing children to learn by doing. From building simple circuits to programming basic tasks, the course aims to give children a real sense of how technology works and how they can shape it themselves.
Held at The Together Centre, 287 Birch Lane, Dukinfield, sessions run weekly on Mondays from 1 to 4pm and cost just £1.50 per session. The environment is welcoming and inclusive, and all volunteers supporting the sessions are fully DBS checked.
Spaces are limited, so parents are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. For more information or to reserve a spot, contact The Together Centre on 0161 366 1987 or email Rebeka@thetogethercentre.org.uk.
