The award-winning Mossley Farmers’ Market will return on Sunday 26 April 2026 after an incredibly successful debut year.
The event has a variety of stalls that attendees can browse. The stalls have range of locally sourced products and unique treats on the final Sunday of every month in Market St Car Park, from 9am-2pm.
The market will run monthly from April up to November, featuring a range of family‑friendly entertainment. Previous events have included buskers, character appearances such as Spiderman and the Joker, classic car shows, and face painting.
Some of the popular products on offer include homemade pies, artisan bread, fresh eggs, specialist sauce, unique drinks, baked goods and locally grown plants.
Last year, the market grew significantly in popularity, starting out with just 10 stalls at the first event to 40 stalls at the final event. Mossley Farmer’s Market also won the ‘Best Small Speciality Market’ at the Great British Market Awards.
Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Towns, Transport and Connectivity, Cllr Stephen Homer, said: “I’m really excited to see the return of such an excellent community event. The Mossley Farmers Market does a great job at fostering community pride and appreciation for the town, while also supporting local traders and businesses.
“Last year was such a successful year and it was wonderful for all involved for the market to be recognised in the Great British Market Awards. We’re excited to see what this year brings and have every confidence it will continue to be popular – thank you to everyone who supports the event, we look forward to seeing you in April.”
