Rosie is a three-year-old Boxer cross and the longest resident at Dogs Trust Manchester, as she has been waiting for more than 500 days for a home to call her own.

However, as she patiently waits, Rosie's infectious, adventurous personality has rubbed off on the staff, and now they have created the Rosie Adventure Club just for her. They take her on different countryside walks to explore and enjoy, as it's her favourite pastime. Now, Rosie's greatest adventure awaits, finding her forever home.

The Rosie Adventure Club started as she is one of Dogs Trust's longest-term dogs, and the staff based at the Manchester centre wanted to give her the adventures and opportunities that dogs in homes might usually get. She loves being out and about, so it keeps her active too. The walks have also helped her socialisation skills, and she is getting used to seeing people and dogs and hearing and seeing things she might not normally experience in a kennel environment. She's been on many excursions around Greater Manchester, like Etherow Country Park, Reddish Vale, and the Wildbank Circular.

With her springy stride and bold personality, Rosie brings energy and joy wherever she goes. Whether racing around with her favourite toys, soaking up affection from her handlers, or proudly performing her latest trick for a treat, she is always the centre of attention, and of course, she is also the ideal hiking partner.

This beautiful girl has patiently awaited her perfect match for 568 days. Rosie is lovingly known as a Dogs Trust "Underdog," a term used by the charity for some of the dogs who have been waiting for their forever home for more than six months. These dogs often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs. Unfortunately, some are also simply overlooked.

Rosie is looking for an adult-only household with a secure private garden. She would do best as the only dog in the home and soak up all the attention from her new owner, but she enjoys having canine friends on her walks. She cannot live with cats, but small furries are fine.

Lisa Eardley, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Manchester, said: "Rosie came to us after her previous owners struggled with her, as she can feel uncomfortable around new people. However, since starting Rosie’s Adventure Club and getting her out and about often, she’s come on in leaps and bounds.

She’s now confident wearing her muzzle, enjoys meeting friends, and has a special introduction plan in place to help her get to know potential adopters. The team loves taking her out, and she really enjoys exploring and a good sniff.

Once Rosie knows you, she turns into a big softie. She is incredibly cuddly and affectionate with her favourite people. All she needs now is the right home to come along.’’

Rosie's got it all; she is a dog with a zest for adventure, adorable, and unbeatable in a game of tug.

If you want to subscribe to the Rosie club forever and experience a lifetime of loyalty, don't hesitate to contact Dogs Trust Manchester about adopting this great girl: www.dogstrust.org.uk/manchester
