Police put on their deerstalkers to investigate after an injured animal was spotted.
The injured deer was running around Denton Community College when police were called to the scene last week.
The deer had escaped from the grounds, it was extremely frightened and was located nearby in a resident’s garden.
A police spokesman said: "Eventually, the deer was captured and is now in the safe hands of a wildlife rescue charity.
"We would just like to send out a huge thank you to the members of the public who helped us with this incident."
