Hard work pays off for Hyde High students

Hyde High School is proudly celebrating a remarkable year of academic achievement as its Year 11 students collected their GCSE results this morning, marking one of the school’s most successful results days to date.

The school has seen a notable increase in top grades, with many students earning a string of Grade 9s and 8s, and an overall pass rate that has reached new heights across a broad range of subjects. The atmosphere at school was one of joy, pride, and shared success.

Headteacher Ms Arnold praised both students and staff for their commitment and efforts: “I could not be prouder of our students and the incredible results they have achieved this year. Their determination, resilience, and sheer hard work have truly paid off. I also want to thank our dedicated staff who have gone above and beyond to support every learner – these results are a testament to their tireless commitment. This is a moment of real celebration for our whole school community.”

In addition to outstanding academic performance, the school is particularly proud of the significant progress made by students across all ability levels, with many exceeding expectations and securing sought-after college placements and apprenticeship opportunities.

Ms Arnold added: “We are not only celebrating grades today, but the journeys our students have been on. Each result represents growth, ambition, and a step closer to their futures. We couldn’t be more thrilled.”

This year’s GCSE success represents another milestone in Hyde High School’s growing reputation for academic excellence and a supportive, inclusive environment that champions every learner.

Phil Wilson, Chief Executive of the Tame River Educational Trust, also shared his congratulations: “On behalf of the Trust, I extend my warmest congratulations to all our students. Their results are a testament to years of dedication, resilience, and hard work. We are immensely proud of what they have accomplished.

"I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our staff and governors, whose unwavering commitment and support have been instrumental in guiding our students to success.”

As students look ahead to the next chapter in their educational journeys, Hyde High School celebrates not just academic results, but the perseverance, progress, and character that led to them.
