Thursday 22nd August saw the Class of 2024 collect their GCSE & BTEC examination results after five years of hard work. Overall, the outcomes suggest that the results are the best the school has had for years with some exceptional results and many subjects showing significant improvement.
Everyone at the school is exceptionally proud of all students who have worked tirelessly, supported by a talented team of staff, to produce the excellent results. These results are also a celebration of all that has been achieved through working in partnership with our students and their parents and carers.
As well as successes as a year group, there have been a number of notable individual successes. For example, Lewis Woodward, who achieved a fantastic eight Grade 9s and one Grade 8; and Ted Higginbottom, who attained a brilliant seven Grade 9s, one Grade 8 and one Grade 7. There were similar successes across the school, with Claire Powley achieving five Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 5; Charlotte Simm with five Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 7; Zack Winterbottom with four Grade 9s and five grade 8s; Toby Turner with two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and three Grade 7s; Maizie Seel-Rowe with four Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and two Grade 6s; Caitlin Mason with seven Grade 8s and two Grade 7’s and Jessamine Robinson with three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and two Grade 6s.

Glossopdale also had a significant number of students who made exceptional progress compared to their starting points, these included Toby Wood, Macy Fowle, Evelyn Lees, Isabelle Gent, Emily Pangallo and Lydia Garrod.
