Residents across Tameside are preparing to head to the polls on Thursday 7 May, as the full list of candidates standing in this year’s local elections has now been confirmed.
Seats across multiple wards will be contested, with candidates representing a range of political parties as well as independent voices. Voters will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the borough by electing councillors to represent their communities on Tameside Council.
Candidates have already begun campaigning across the borough, with door-to-door canvassing, community events and online engagement forming a central part of their efforts to connect with voters.
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on election day. Residents are reminded to bring valid photo identification in line with current voting regulations.
