
Crews were called to the fire on Sheard Avenue, Ashton under Lyne around 8:15pm on Saturday.
Fire, ambulance and police crews were called out following reports that a large fire had broken out at a semi-detached home on Sheard Avenue.
Nearby residents reporting hearing a loud bang before emergency crews arrived at the scene.
Road closures were put in place around the area whilst the firefighters tackled the blaze.
In a video from the scene you can see smoke billowing as residents gathered in the streets.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At just after 8:15pm on Saturday three fire engines from Ashton, Stalybridge and Mossley fire stations were called to a fire at a semi-detached home on Sheard Avenue, Ashton-under-Lyne.
“The firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish with a cordon in place to make the surrounding area safe.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police has said: “There is currently no danger to other residents, and circumstances into the initial report are on going. We will update you if anything changes and when we have any updates.”
