Chutney Masala in Mossley was filled with music, laughter and generosity on Tuesday 24 March, as more than 60 guests gathered for a special fundraising evening in aid of The Christie Allsorts.
Organised by local resident and well-known fundraiser Lesley Bill of Good Vibrations Choir, the event – aptly titled Curry & Sax – proved hugely popular, selling out within just a few hours.
Guests were treated to a generous three-course meal, courtesy of Chutney Masala, while enjoying live performances from the talented Carlo & Arran Sax. They were joined on the night by special guest Graham Sax, who was recently taught by Carlo, adding an extra touch of local pride to the entertainment.
The evening created a lively and fun atmosphere, with attendees embracing both the music and the cause. Thanks to the support of everyone involved, an impressive £1,133 was raised.
Funds from the event will go towards a new PET-CT full body scanner at The Christie, set to be the first of its kind in the North of England, helping to enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Chutney Masala not only provided the food and venue but also made a generous donation to the charity, further boosting the total raised.
Special thanks were extended to Bobby, Joe and all the staff at Chutney Masala, Carlo & Arran Sax, and everyone who purchased tickets and supported the event.
Christine and The Christie Allsorts also shared their gratitude, recognising the community spirit that made the evening such a success.
