A primary school in Stalybridge is celebrating after inspectors recognised its strong performance across all areas in its latest Ofsted report.
Buckton Vale Primary School, part of Victorious Academies Trust, was inspected in January 2026, with the newly published report confirming the school meets expected national standards in every category.
Inspectors highlighted a number of key strengths, including safeguarding, behaviour, personal development and the overall quality of education.
The report praised the school for creating a calm and positive environment where pupils feel safe, behave well and are eager to learn. Children were noted to take pride in their work, supported by clear routines that help them stay focused and achieve success.
The curriculum was also recognised as a strong feature, particularly in mathematics, where pupils are achieving significantly above national averages. Inspectors also commended the school’s commitment to inclusion and personal development, noting that pupils develop a strong sense of self-worth and benefit from a wide range of enrichment opportunities.
Headteacher Kelly Quinn said she was delighted with the outcome.
“I am extremely proud that Ofsted has recognised the warm, purposeful atmosphere our pupils experience every day,” she said. “The report reflects the dedication of our staff and the determination of our children to do their best. Inspectors highlighted the thoughtful way our curriculum is organised, and the positive attitudes pupils bring to their learning.
“I am delighted that our commitment to nurturing the whole child - academically, socially and emotionally - has been acknowledged so clearly.”
Karen Burns, Chief Executive Officer of Victorious Academies Trust, also welcomed the findings.
“This report is a well-deserved celebration of the progress Buckton Vale has made,” she said. “Inspectors recognised leaders’ clear expectations, strong curriculum design and the school’s commitment to supporting every child.
“The focus on wellbeing, inclusion and high-quality learning shines through the findings. Buckton Vale is a wonderful example of our Trust’s belief that all children should feel valued, challenged and inspired. We are incredibly proud of the whole school community.”
