A law firm based in Ashton-under-Lyne were delighted to present a £2,000 cheque to its 2024/2025 Charity Partner, Pure Insight.
Bromleys Solicitors’ donation marks the culmination of a year of dedicated fundraising efforts by its staff, primarily through themed lunches including an Easter Picnic Party, a Court of Protection Halloween lunch and an office tombola featuring food and prizes.
The partnership with Pure Insight, a charity that supports young people leaving children's homes and foster care, is the first of its kind for the firm and reflects the mission of Bromleys’ Care Proceedings Team to assist care-experienced youth in granting them the best opportunities to flourish. The charity was chosen as part of the firm’s ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative.
Clare Taylor Smith, Business Development Lead at Pure Insight, expressed her gratitude at the donation: “We’re hugely thankful to Bromleys Solicitors for selecting us as their charity of the year in 2024-25 and for the hard work their staff team has put into fundraising lunches, resulting in a generous £2,000 donation. As the first business to choose us in this way, they have set a wonderful precedent, providing an invaluable opportunity to raise awareness about the significant challenges young people face when leaving the care system.
“Their donation will directly help care leavers navigate these transitions and build more purposeful, fulfilling lives as they step towards adulthood.”
Felicity Drinkwater, Managing Associate and Solicitor, said: “We chose Pure Insight as our Charity of the Year because they are so relevant to what we do here in the care team – we wanted to help give something back to those young people who were care-experienced and when we looked into Pure Insight’s work, they fit perfectly with what we wanted.
“Their ethos is so closely aligned with our values as childcare solicitors – their commitment to working with and empowering young people transitioning out of care is amazing – they support care leavers with the practical tools, guidance, and support they need to live – and thrive – independently.”
The partnership between Bromleys and Pure Insight exemplifies the power of community and corporate collaboration in making a tangible difference in the lives of young people. The firm looks forward to continuing their support and furthering their shared goals.
