Stalybridge is tuning up for another unforgettable day as Bridge Fest returns on Saturday, September 6th - marking the fourth edition of the much-loved community festival.

Organised by the dedicated volunteers of the Stalybridge Town Team, the event has grown year on year, becoming a calendar highlight for music lovers, families, and residents alike. What started as a bold community initiative has blossomed into a vibrant celebration of local talent and creativity.

This year’s festival will feature performances across 13 venues spread throughout the town, showcasing a mix of live music, artistic flair, and family-friendly entertainment. In a nod to its growing popularity, Nonnas on Armentieres Square has joined the line-up of hosting venues, adding a fresh new space for festival-goers to enjoy.

The festivities officially kick off at noon in Armentieres Square, with the Mossley St John’s Brass Band opening the show. They’ll hand over to the ever-popular Cherry Hintons, setting the tone for a day packed with live entertainment.

Other highlights include:

  • Colin making a welcome return to Bridge Beers on Melbourne Street,
  • A lively performance from the Mossley Ukulele Band at the Buffet Bar from 2pm,
  • Sets across popular town venues including Q Bar, The Old Fleece, Bohemian Lounge, The Rifleman, The White House, Florence and Amelia’s, and Holy Trinity Church.

Ray Harrison, Chair of Stalybridge Town Team, shared his pride in how far the festival has come: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the community. The success of last year’s festival showed us just how much people love coming together to celebrate local talent, and we’re thrilled to bring it back even bigger this year."

Ray also highlighted the community’s role in making the festival what it is today:

“None of this would be possible without the incredible support from our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses and residents. It’s truly a festival by the community, for the community.”

With the 2025 edition promising more acts, more venues, and more fun than ever before, Bridge Fest is fast becoming a cornerstone of the town’s cultural calendar.
