Designed to promote digital inclusivity, Digitober aims to help everyone feel more confident and comfortable online. The sessions cover a wide range of topics, from shopping safely online and spotting scams, to exploring advanced tech tools for those with a keen interest in technology.
Events will be running throughout October at Ashton Library, with friendly, drop-in sessions available to all.
Event Highlights Include:
- How to Stay Safe Online – 20 & 23 October, 1pm – 2:15pm
- How to Use Google Password Manager – 20 & 23 October, 2:30pm – 4pm
The workshops cover the basics and so much more, offering support for everyday digital tasks as well as creative sessions for those who want to enhance their tech knowledge.
Cllr Leanne Feeley, Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, said: “Digitober is a fantastic initiative that helps break down barriers to digital access. I’d encourage residents to take advantage of these free sessions – they’re friendly, practical and open to all.”
The programme supports Tameside Council’s commitment to inclusive growth and lifelong learning, helping residents develop essential digital skills for everyday life, work, and wellbeing.
